About This Spot

Stepping into Lapérouse is like slipping quietly into a chapter of Parisian history where time unfolds at its own gentle rhythm. Nestled on the banks of the Seine in the 6th arrondissement, this French restaurant exudes an intimate and almost secretive charm. The warm glow of dimmed lamps, the refined details of tablecloths and napkins, and the hushed murmur of conversations create an atmosphere that feels both romantic and steeped in tradition.

The pace here invites you to linger — to savor not just the food but the rituals around it. Service unfolds with a careful attentiveness, where dishes arrive with a graceful ceremony, heightening the sense that each course is a moment worth pausing for. It’s a place where your meal becomes a quiet celebration, framed by the soft clinking of glasses and the subtle hum of shared experiences.

On the plate, classic French flavors come to life with thoughtful touches that honor the culinary heritage of the region. Luxurious ingredients like foie gras, truffles, and caviar are woven into dishes that feel both familiar and delightfully unexpected. Whether it's the tender richness of duck wrapped in a golden crust or the delicate earthiness of escargots bathed in basil cream, each bite carries you gently deeper into the narrative the restaurant quietly tells. The dessert offerings continue this story, inviting indulgence with creations like chocolate soufflé and crème brûlée that feel just as thoughtfully crafted as the courses before them.

Beyond the food, Lapérouse’s setting summons a kind of gentle exclusivity. The rooms upstairs, bathed in soft light, offer a snug refuge from the city outside — places where conversations bend toward the personal and the memorable. In this intimate space, it's easy to feel like part of an unfolding story, one where the focus is on slowing down and truly tasting both food and moment.

For anyone seeking more than just a meal, Lapérouse offers a measured escape into a world of poised elegance, where history, atmosphere, and impeccable French cuisine quietly intertwine to create a dining experience that lingers long after the last sip of wine.

We came with great expectations! 4 hostess greated us and took us to the upper floor table. The service was perfect. The wine list os vast BUT the prices are outrageous!!! Not normal! Wines that costs 300eur a bottle in other restaurants were priced 1300eur Mouton Rothschild from an ok vintage goes for 3500eur?!?! We ended up ordering a chateaux de bucastel 2004 for 500eur!!! Outrageous! The food generally was very good The beef Wellington was tasteless and you shouldn't order it although it is one of the "classic" dishes there. The piano and singer was a very nice touch and added to the very good vibe. The bar after dinner was very nice and again the service at the bat was perfect regardless of the fact that the place was packed.

Wonderful meal, but honestly sitting us next to twenty year old American girls who complained the whole time really took away from a 5 star experience. Would be great for them to not sit Americans next to each other - made us feel like we were forced next to influencers. Restaurant could benefit from a phone policy.

Had a lovely time, very snug little restaurant with a lovely atmosphere had dinner here. Service was good as was the food. Cute little spot would definitely return. Meanwhile hostesses downstairs could be a little warmer.

My family and I went to Laperouse for dinner a few months ago, and it was one of the most outstanding dinners of my life. First, the service was incredibly nice, and they brought the food out at the same time as everybody else. The atmosphere was very different from other restaurants I had been to, but in a good way! It was very romantic with dim lighting, well-decorated napkins, tablecloths, and curtains. For being such an old mansion, the restaurant did an amazing job decorating the room. They also had a lot of velvet, which helped the restaurant feel more historic, along with their antique furniture. Also, they had live music, making the dining room feel lively and energetic. The meals were also amazing! They had something for everyone, and my mom, who is a picky vegetarian, loved her food. She had a salad, and so did my dad. For the entrée, my brother and I both had steak, and the sauce was so tasty! It really made the steak an 11/10! I also thought the mocktails were amazing. Laperouse is definitely a kid-friendly and date-worthy restaurant worth visiting!

A memorable and unique experience! Beautiful service to the private dining room, it felt very special and personalised. We enjoyed a selection of starters mains and deserts. All of which were delicious - and many gluten free options too. Not only were they presented and tasted excellent, but much of the food service is done at the table which adds to the experience. The snails and the scallops were particularly good. The server was also kind enough to provide gluten free bread for me. The experience is worth the cost for fine private dining in a very luxurious and unique environment.

Happened to make a reservation 30 minutes before. (We booked an early dinner at 7:30 on a Tuesday) if you want a later dinner I recommend booking more in advanced. Anyways I didn’t realized how popular this place is for celebrities. It’s iconic inside the interior decor is immaculate. Perfect for cute aesthetic outfit pics so dress accordingly. The dinner was a vibe and absolutely delicious. The staff is incredible and very intentional. I had the ketal popcorn popstar martini it was decident but delish. For dinner I had the caviar pasta. It was a smash. I highly recommend it for your dinner. Definitely a fun place to take people to from out of town

Unique experience in several ways. I only have one opinion: That the staff downstairs wasn't as serviceminded as the one's upstairs. I wanna make it clear that they were not rude just different in the service. +Service +High quality food +Impressive wine menu +atmosphere

Lapérouse Paris is truly a unique gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re struck by the incredible interior that instantly transports you—almost as if you’ve stepped back into the age of Hemingway. Every detail feels rich with history and charm, creating an atmosphere that’s both inspiring and deeply inviting. The food is absolutely delicious, each dish crafted with care and full of flavor. The service is impeccable as well—attentive, warm, and perfectly in tune with the restaurant’s refined character. One of the standout features is the collection of separate private rooms. They’re not only beautiful but also incredibly cozy, adding to the restaurant’s distinctive and intimate feel. It’s the kind of place where you can savor a meal slowly, enjoy great company, and feel completely at ease. Lapérouse is more than a restaurant—it’s an experience. Highly recommended.
